The Óperencia children’s hotel is situated in a quiet, calm area of the Buda hills, meeting all demands of both children and parents as well.
When we furnished our premises our prime consideration was to create an environment that is safe and calming and meets the age and physical requirements of children. The use of naturalmaterials is typical for the decoration and furnishing of our group rooms. We believe that this is particularly important as today’s children only have few opportunities to make themselves familiar with these materials. We also believe that every child is an individual and because of this their development can only proceed with a lot of attention and professional know-how. To achieve this, a large staff helps our kindergarten teachers and a great advantage of this is that children receive individual treatment.
The Óperencia Kindergarten welcomes visitors from 6 months to 7 years of age.
Our crèche is open every day of the year. Our holiday opening times are published in our news. Children can stay even for only an hour or two. Children can arrive and be picked up at times when it is most convenient for the parents.
Behavioural development work is carried out by professionally qualified nurses and kindergarten teachers.
In our children’s hotel, babysitters help attending to the little ones.
Medical examinations and a regular check-up of the children is carried out by a doctor and nurse every Thursday.
A speech therapist cares for children who need development from 4 years of age.
Our kindergarten teachers attend courses and trainings regularly.

At the parent’s request, a reliable babysitter can escort the children to our premises occasionally or every day as required. If your child falls ill it is possible, if required, to hire a babysitter in training for your home.
Applications and acceptation of children to our crèche is continuous throughout the year.
The loving, lively atmosphere in our institutions is optimal to develop well-balanced children. Daily shared experiences with children of different ages help them to adapt to each others’ needs.
Our principles in education are based on the following:
Children of different ages learn each others’ special demands and this way they almost unnoticeably learn to adapt to each other. Children are treated individually according to their age and personality.
We practice child-centred education where an accentuated task of the teachers is to keep the natural curiosity of children awake and help them in their development.
We try to develop closer contacts with the families and we make it possible for them to get to know better the environment where their children spend most of their day. Our aim is to build a partnership-based relationship with the trust of both sides as the main pillar. This is strengthened with the organisation of parents’ programmes (festive events, excursions, open days, parental meetings, family visits…).
Our institutions prefer healthy and modern eating. We are at our children’s service with a variety of healthy foods. We accept children with food allergies, offering special meals for them (children with calcium, milk and lactose and flour allergies). We provide five meals a day. We consider children’s wishes when setting the menu. Children are sometimes involved into the preparation of the meals (fruit salad, filling pancakes). We believe that it is important that drinks are provided continuously, such as fruit juices, teas and mineral water.
Time schedules are flexible depending on age and other aspects.
Areas of activity, schedule of activities
Cognitive development: learning through play.
Play: Play gives room for individualisation, experience, processing of knowledge, socialisation and all other forms of activity. The teacher, during the games they initiate, can map the children’s abilities and has the opportunity to develop areas of ability. We make every effort to purchase games and toys made from durable, long-lasting and, if possible, natural materials. We also produce toys ourselves with the involvement of the children, which is not only useful abut also entertaining too. The joy of creation helps the children to explore their individual abilities. An aquarium, with our two favourite turtles – Ödön and Bödön – can be found in the nature corner. Caring for the animals and the plants in the group is carried out together with the children.
Learning: We profess that children learn something every minute of their lives and every enjoyable minute is also play. To child working, learning and playing are all the same. According to the needs of the children’s age group, a learning processed based on spontaneous play is characteristic. Naturally we build the children’s curiosity and interest because it is our aim not only to prepare them for later kindergarten, school and adult life but also to experience joyful, spontaneous activity. The toys and tools at their disposal ensure that the children fill their days according to their abilities and interests.
We consider the following to be the most important in the use of activities
Common celebration of the children’s birthdays and name-days: birthday cake, blowing out the candles, balloons, presents, singing.
